In 2023-24, helped lead McNeese State to a 30-4 (.882) overall and 17-1 (.944) Southland Conference record, the Southland Conference Regular Season Championship (first in 13 seasons), the Southland Conference Tournament Championship (first in 22 seasons), and an NCAA Tournament berth (first in 22 seasons) – helped rebuild a program that had finished 11-23 (.324) overall the season prior to the staff arrival, the largest turnaround in Division I history (+19 wins)

Shawn has been a college coach for 22 years. In that time he has built numerous relationships with AAU coaches, high school coaches, scouts, recruiting analysts, agents and NBA personnel across the country, which established him to be one of the best assistant coaches and recruiters in the country. Shawn is a leader of young men and passionate about the relationships he still has with all the players he’s coached and recruited at every program he has coached.
