Nationally recognized author, speaker, podcast host, and leadership consultant Jamy Bechler joined The BDS Agency in 2025. With over 25 years of combined experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge from his time as a collegiate basketball coach, athletic administrator, and leadership consultant.
In 2016, Bechler founded Bechler Leadership, a company dedicated to maximizing individual potential and building strong, cohesive teams. He has worked with a variety of collegiate teams, focusing on teamwork, leadership, communication, culture, and recruiting. More recently, Bechler Leadership expanded its services to include conducting coach and athletic director searches for colleges and universities.
Bechler has also served as the Interim Director of Athletics at Midway University and as the Director of Athletics at the legendary Marion High School in Indiana. His coaching career spans 12 years as a collegiate Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Martin Methodist College (all-time winningest coach in program history), Bryan College, Tennessee Temple University, and LeTourneau University. In 1996, Bechler began his coaching journey under Head Coach Gary Waters at Kent State University.
Originally from Michigan, Bechler earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Hiram College in 1996 and a master’s degree in physical education from Kent State in 1998. He lives in Akron, Ohio, with his wife, Tabitha, and son, Jaylen.
