The 11th head coach in University of Detroit Mercy women’s basketball history was officially unveiled today to the hometown fans as the Titans held a press conference today to introduce Bernard Scott.
A packed house inside the video conference room in historic Calihan Hall saw members of the media, donors, supporters and fans get together for today’s press conference, which was aired live on ESPN3. On hand making the announcement was UDM President Dr. Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D., and Director of Athletics Robert C. Voels, Jr.
Garibaldi, Vowels and Coach Scott all addressed the crowd during the press conference. Coach Scott took questions from the crowd and then it was off to one-on-one interviews with members of the media. The Titan women’s basketball team was also on hand and a number of them addressed media members.
Coach Scott will be entering his 15th season as a collegiate coach in 2015-16.
