The BDS Agency President, Brian D. Stanchak, officially announced today that the 2018 Head Coach Training Center will be held Monday, May 14th to Wednesday, May 16th at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.
“I am very excited to be moving the Head Coach Training Center to Florida in 2018. We have seen significant growth and overall interest from attendees, speakers, and sponsors over the conference’s first two years. The World Center Marriott’s prime location is easily accessible for those flying in from across the country, a family-friendly resort that is right next to Walt Disney World, and allows attendees to enjoy numerous restaurants and entertainment options without having to leave the property,” said Stanchak.
The Head Coach Training Center teaches basketball coaches strategies to obtain a first-time or new collegiate Head Coach position and be successful in that role. Some previous Division I Head Coach speakers have included Joanna Bernabei-McNamee (Albany),Tony Bozzella (Seton Hall), Jose Fernandez (South Florida), Donna Finnie (Houston Baptist), Quentin Hillsman (Syracuse), Caroline McCombs (Stony Brook), Mike Neighbors (Arkansas), Jada Pierce (Niagara), Aaron Roussell (Bucknell), and Joe Tartamella (St. John’s). Division I AD speakers from Binghamton, BU, Hampton, Lafayette, Saint Francis (PA), Tulane, UMBC, and UT Rio Grande Valley provided guidance to attendees on a variety of topics from pursuing to interviewing for a Head Coach position.
“What really excites me is the proven success of HCTC, as seven attendees have obtained a first-time or new collegiate Head Coach position since 2016,” Stanchak said.
The Head Coach Training Center will be launching a new website within the next few weeks with information on HCTC18. To view photos and testimonials from past Head Coach Training Centers, click the links below.
